No Help Given To Elderly Members

I emailed Spectramed on the 30/10 to find out how to go about getting a wheelchair for a member who is no longer able to walk on their own. I got a reply on the 8/11 saying depends on savings and needs to be authorised I sent a quote on the 9/11 for the wheelchair. 29/11 got a reply eventually after getting annoyed. Wheelchair is note covered. I had to get a motivation letter, that was charged for. I had to get an ICD10 code. Which I did. This has been a rediculous series of run around and I had to get all sorts of proof of income, xrays etc to motivate this, only to be told today that the meeting wasn't held on the 06/12 by the ex-gratia team and we now have to wait until the 23/01/2018 to find out what will happen and if they will be as generous as to grand an 87 year old lady a wheel chair!!!!!!!!! Pathetic.................................. You have someone who has been a member for years. Never abuses the medical aid. Has more than R17000 in her medical savings fund........... but NO..... All on your time and when it suits you!!!!!!!!!! Again I say, PATHETIC !!!!!!!!!!!! ZERO Interest in your Elderly Members!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Three Months to try and get a wheel chair to keep mobility.
