Ghosted by Spectramed

In August 2017 I resigned from Spectramed medical scheme to join the scheme as provided by my employer. I enquired as to when my medical aid savings will be paid back to me and I was informed that it takes a period of 5 months or something silly, which I accepted and patiently waited. It is now 8 months later and no refunds. First I was promised end of March by Sello Matabane. March came and went after which I contacted him again. I was told that the refund was escalated to their finance manager and that they still have not received feedback.

A week later I contacted him with the same query and received the same answer. I demanded contact details for this finance manager who can't give them an answer as to why I should be refunded my own money and I was given the details for his team leader Lucky Mahlangu only to find out that the contact details he provided me with does not exist.

If Spectramed takes more than 8 months to pay me back my OWN money I'm glad I never had a serious claim because I battle to see how they will part with their money if I can't even get my own out of them.

Think twice before you join Spectramed.
