We GIVING YOUR SON FREE SPECS MAM, YOU SHOULD BE GRATEFUL!

I was insulted yesterday evening by a consultant at the canal walk branch. My son's specs broke, we had it ordered from the cape gate brach and we took it to canal walk branch. They said it can't be repaired and that there was nothing they could do. I asked them so if we can't repair it can't we get a new frame. They told me I have to go back to cape gate. I told the consultant we can't do that why can't we do it canal walk. The consultant said that is their rule. I told her I'm not happy about it and it doesn't make sense. What made me livid is that she told me and I qoute " WHAT I S THE PROBLEM MAM, WE DOING YOUR CHILD A FAVOUR!" my response to her was doing my son a favour he's a child tell that to him and see if he understands. I also asked her if spec savers belong to her because she is not the owner. Her response was, and I qoute" WELL WE DOING YOU A FAVOUR AND YOU GOING On! " I take that as a insult, just because I get specs for free for my 7 year old son doesn't give her the right to throw it in my face. This is not the 1st time I had issues with them. The last time I went for a new frame at canal walk as we just got back from the optomologist and they said they don't take sizes all the free frames comes in one size. I then told the lady ohk and left. I went to TORGA OPTICAL and paid 3k for my son's specs. What I'm saying is I will rather pay alot of money at another store than pay to spec savers. Because it seems to me that because I'm getting it for free I should settle for whatever. I was insulted. And I was upset. I'm taking the day off and we going to TORGA OPTICAL to buy my son new specs. For now he will go to school with a broken frame that spec savers could not help with. I had tape it together to hold. My son is near sighted he goes squint without his specs. I will never support or spend money at specsavers. I thought maybe canal walk consultants attitude would change toward the "freebies" hence me going to them again. But seems not. So I will go back to Torga and pay over 3k again than get something for free and be treated like dirt. She made me feel like beggars can't be chooses. My mother in law stays in Mitchells Plain and when my 7 year old son's glasses is worn out or broken she goes to promenade branch and they help no questions ask. But at canal walk it seems that beggars can't be chooses. My son will go to school with a broken lens and taped frame till we get new specs from Torga.
