UNSATISFIED CLIENT

I saw a promotion on the internet and called spec savers Sunnypark to ask when does it end. I was told it ends end of February. The promotion is "you get a pair of specs and sunglasses.

I asked Zoliswa to make an appointment for me, I went on 5 February. When I got there I was told that the Dr will attend to me. I took a seat. I was called it, did a test, the Dr told me Zoliswa will help me with choosing a frame, which I did.

Then, we went to her desk, she printed the invoice, then she told me that I must pay R850 that the medical aid does not cover. I asked her what is that money for, she said "anti glare" & "anti scratch", I told her to take them out because I don't have money for those. She said, I must then pay the R385 which is for the "anti scratch", it comes as a standard on the lensss. I still told her I don't have that money.

I went back to my office to call GEMS and complain. They spoke to Spec savers Sunnypark. I was then told I don't need to pay anything. I want to sign the invoice and asked them when will they be ready, they said they will call me.

Yesterday (14/02/2020) they called, I went & collect. They gave me only the specs. I asked them where my pair of sunglasses are. They told me that I won't get then because of the antinglare and anti scratch that I did not put on my specs. I told them no one told me about all those; & I didn't know that there are 3 promotions that are running. The reason I went to them was because of the sunglasses promotion.

Dr Nzuza came to speak with me. He told me that he told GEMS that he will put me in another promotion, which is not even advertised at their store. I told him no one told me about 3 promotions, and that I want my sunglasses. He came with the promotion pamphlet to show me, we read it together & I asked him to show me where it says if I dom pay for the "anti glare" & "anti scratch" I am waiving my promotion chance. It was not there. I also told him that the first time I walked in, Zoliswa was supposed to explain to me how the promotion work before the Dr consult with me

When I walked in at the store, no one bothered to tell me how their promotion worked, and that I needed to pay extra money which if not paid I waive away my chance of getting sunglasses.

I want those sunglasses because it is the ONLY reason I went to them for new spectacles. I could have chosen any other store.
