The right to sight drive - WONDERFUL!

I had the best service recently at Spec-Savers in Atterbury Value Mart. I made an appointment for my 7 year old son as he was complaining of not seeing well on the board at school. I asked how much the eye test would be as I am paying cash and not through medical aid. I was told that children under 12 was seen FREE of charge. I could hardly believe it but was very grateful. On the day of our appointment my son was nervous but was greeted by the friendliest staff and everything was explained to him in such a way that calmed him down completely. The test was also done in such a professional way and the lady that helped him was so loving and caring that he was relaxed and had a wonderful first time experience at the optometrist. She did conclude that he needs reading glasses. I was taken to a whole 3 rows of frames that we could choose from that was FREE! I did not understand and was then told that they have a drive called "the right to sight" and this means that all children under 12 gets the test, lenses and frame FREE! I had to ask her to repeat it as i was totally chocked. This is the most wonderful initiative i have heard off. He was professionally guided to choose his frame and upon receiving his glasses one week later was fitted and as this was his first glasses, he was told how to handle them and how to wash and clean them. I will forever support Spec-Savers as i think this is such a wonderful thing they do for children. THANK YOU
