Yep it is a **** I went through the invoice, the one with the discount they charge for single view, which the doctor prescribe because I am multi focal now. The charge for coating for each lence fixed tints. Then the next one the charge for optometrist test, polyfocal lence per eye uncoated per lence and the blue eye for the computer and the the frame. Now the bill went to 7000 and my medical aid is paying 2800. The medical aid said the doctor must write a recommendation letter why I need the polyfocal lence. Which the secretary refuses to do and gives a reference number of someone to talk to, but the doctor never wrote a recommendation and it goes to the specialist at gems who makes the decision on whether to approve or on not. I had an IOD and that was menstioned to the doctor and the fuzziness and inability to have a clear vision was made worse by that. All I am asking is that this be looked at and all possibilities be exhausted because just carelessly saying there’s nothing we can do.
