Specsavers Mokopane worst service

Spec savers Mokopane in Pick n Pay mall is the worst in the country. Went for new spectacles in Jan 2020, paid the amount in cash they said is needed to complete my spectacles, now 8 months later I am told they made a mistake and I owe them money, how is it my mistake if they gave me the wrong amount...
