Specsavers misleading pricing and bad service

After doing some research I decided to have my eyes tested at specsavers in Mall of the south Johannesburg. I was told that I needed spectacles as I spent a lot of time in front of my computer. The spectacles will allow me to see better on the screen, but I will need to remove them if I look up at anything further away from me. This was the explanation from the optometrist. I was rather surprised when I was given the quotation to sign as the pricing was double of what I saw on the website, the frame after discount was priced very low at R600.00, but the total price for the visit was R3990.00 very close to the limit for spectacles on my medical aid, I signed the quotation and was told to expect my glasses in the next 10 days. Today is day no. 13 and I still have no glasses and even worst no communication from spec savers on when to expect them. I have chatted. to some colleagues and friends that wear glasses and make use of these services more often and we all agree that the website is misleading and the overall service is below the industry standard.
