Specsavers Lies on promotion.

Specsavers are currently running a promotion when doing a comprehensive eye test, you get a free frame up to the value of R1000. My son and I went to Specsavers Parkrand and both did a comprehensive eye test. I picked a frame for R999 and my son one for R1299. My medical aid pays R220 for a frame. We requested no lens enhancements, yet they tell me that I have to pay in R700 on my frame and my son must pay in R1000 on his frame. Where is the R1000 off on the frames. Then when asking them about it they tell you that is the package deal, and I must go and read the terms and conditions. I am sick and tired of the poor service and blunt lies from Specsavers. See the terms and conditions below:

Terms & Conditions: This offer is subject to the purchase of a comprehensive eye test and prescription lenses. The R1000 off can be used in two ways: 1. A free frame up to the value of R1000. If the cost of the frame is less than R1000 the balance will be forfeited. If the cost of the frame is more than R1000, the balance will need to be paid in. OR 2. Pay for the cost of your frame and use the same value as the frame (up to R1000) towards lens enhancements. If the cost of the lens enhancements is less than the cost of the frame, the balance will be forfeited. If the cost of the lens enhancements is more than the cost of the frame, the balance will need to be paid. “GET TESTED” refers to a comprehensive eye test. Package Deals do not qualify for this promotion. Free 80% Spectacle Frame & Lens Replacement Warranty is included from a BLACK sticker upwards. This offer may not be used in conjunction with any other Spec-Savers offer. Either Spec-Savers Loyalty or Clicks Clubcard Points may be earned on all purchases. Spec-Savers Loyalty points may be redeemed against all future transactions, 20 days from date of purchase. This offer may be purchased on Spec-Savers Account depending on approval. This offer is subject to change. This offer is valid from 1 - 30 April 2023.

Dear Frans.

Thank you for taking the time to bring this matter to our attention, this is not the level of service that we strive for as a brand. Your matter has been escalated and a representative will be in direct contact with you to discuss.

 Thank you and Kind regards

This company truly has the worst customer service that there could possibly be. Moratuoa Poka from Specsavers head office contacted me and told me that the terms and conditions are final and that medical aid package deals do not apply. Please show me where in the terms and conditions it clearly states that medical aid packages does not apply. There is no mention of "Medical Aid". Also when confronting her about she laughs at you. This is definitely the type of service I would expect of a place that has 57% 1 star rating. Awesome how pathetic the service is.

Still no feedback from Specsavers. Even after a call on the 2nd of May, from their Regional manager Samantha Lawrence, where she stated that she would see what she could do and give me a call back. No Feedback!!!!
