I have been dealing with Spec-Savers for the last 8 or so years and this year I received the most appalling service from the Centurion Mall-upper branch i have ever received. I went in for my regular eye test and decided to get a new frame with my new prescription lenses. I was then offered the running promotion of getting free prescription sunglasses and i agreed. When the lady helping me was busy with the quotation, she first didn't want to put through the full claim to my medical aid and told me my medical aid would not pay for the "Extra's". After telling her to put through the claim about 4 times i just decided i will pay for my extra's in cash and then claim. I wanted climate changing as the glasses i currently wear have that. I paid the requested cash amount and the rest was claimed from my medical aid. I called medical aid to find out why the won't pay for the extra's and they advised that was incorrect. I claimed the money from medical aid and received my money back. I received my glasses three weeks later and guess what .... no climate changing on the lenses. Now i am told that i paid for anti glare and not the climate changing and if i want the climate changing i need to pay an extra R1300. these people are just running ****. you do not get anything for free as they make you pay for these "extra" free sun glass. I really cannot believe how dis-honest spec-savers has become. If i could rate them a zero i would, i am still so angry i feel like my blood is boiling :-(
