Sarcasm not appreciated

My wife took my son for an eye examination and the purchase of a new pair of spectacles. When she was presented with the bill, she did not understand why there were two charges for each lens and when she queried this with the assistant, the reply was, \Because he has two eyes\". The general attitude of this assistant was that she was doing my wife a favour by \"assisting\" her and almost as if she had no time for her. Checking the company's vision statement, she did not fulfil one of those requirements. My wife left the shop feeling insulted, belittled and yes, angered, by this condescending attitude and we will certainly not be spending another R3000 at this franchise."
