No feedback and no quote initially given

On the 27th of January I went for an eye test and I was told I would get my glasses latest in 2 weeks time. After 3 weeks I called for feedback because nobody had contacted me and I was told that my lenses actually take longer because of some reasons I didn't actually understand. Nonetheless the lady (her name escapes me) was going to call back for feedback but she never did until I called her back and she gave me the same story.<br> <br> Today I get a call stating that my bill is over R5,000, I was never told this and I've had glasses before but I've never had to pay that much, the frame I chose cost about R1,800. After about 5 weeks of waiting I've decided to not take the glasses. A complete waste of my time and money, now I have to go to another optometrist and do another eye test which I will have to pay for.
