Never, never again!
I went to have the lenses in my glasses replaced on the 21 March. Since I did not go for new frames (nothing wrong with my old ones) I have asked how long it would take as I have spare glasses at home albeit an old script, but I was sure I'd manage this for 10 days. 10 days come, and I have no news... I Phoned in to enquire, Geraldine told me that she'll find out from the lab and call back. Needless to say that the callback never materialised. I called again the next day to learn that there was some sort of issue at the lab, and the lenses needed to be made again (I also heard from others that it is a copy paste excuse). Yesterday, the 12th April, way past the promised 10 days, I finally have a call from Specsavers " Your glasses are ready, there are no optometrists in this afternoon, but you can come at 11h30". Yay!!! I rush in, and the lenses are totally wrong! So I go for a second eye test, where the resident optometrist says "Well the script is right, the issue must be with the lab" Let's pass the ball a bit further... We did no wrong with these R5500 lenses, it's the lab. I guess it's my own fault, I already had a similar incident with Specsavers a couple years back for my daughter glasses, figured out that maybe a new shop in town perhaps the service will be better.
