Mr. Msiza

Dear Customer Relations Manager, I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I received at your Rosebank branch on 5 May 2026. The conduct of your front-desk staff member fell far below the professional standards I expect from a service provider endorsed by the Standard Bank Group through UCount.

My appointment was scheduled for 12:00. At no point prior to my arrival was I informed that I would be required to present a medical aid card. I arrived with my medical aid membership number and my ID, believing this to be sufficient for a booked consultation. It was only upon reaching the reception desk that I was abruptly told about the card requirement, with no prior communication via SMS, email, or phone call to prepare me adequately.

To compound the issue, I was instructed to arrive earlier than my appointment time for registration, yet the very information I would need during that registration was never communicated. The lack of foresight and basic client preparation is unacceptable.

Most concerning, however, was the attitude of the staff member I encountered. Her manner was dismissive and unhelpful, transforming what should have been a routine appointment into an experience that has left a significantly negative impression of Spec-Savers.

As an employee of the Standard Bank Group, I am actively encouraged to make use of preferred vendors selected by the organisation. Experiences of this nature not only erode my personal trust in your brand, but also call into question the service standards afforded to Standard Bank staff who rely on these recommendations. I am certain this is not the level of client care your company wishes to project.

I trust you will treat this matter with the seriousness it warrants. I look forward to your response, detailing what corrective steps will be taken to address the front-desk conduct and communication protocols at your Rosebank branch.
