Misleading personal

I went for this special free branded sunglasses after receiving a notification about it from Spec Savers in Pinelands Howard Center. I provided my details, told the person my medical aid number has changed as well as my plan. I was told we have your ID we can check from there and had an appointment one week later. The optometrist was fantastic. Then I needed to decide on a frame and was told sorry you don’t qualify even though I said he special is what he was interested in. Why wasn’t I called back before the appointment to say you don’t qualify why wait a week and after the eye test you let me know I don’t qualify. I would have not make the appointment with you. Looks like you figure you at least get the eye test money.

So just had a call from a rep from Spec Savers and the rep said exactly the same what I was told when I was at the optometrist. So the call was a total waste of the reps time.So though the special is ending its in my opinion misleading. So here’s advice any special from spec savers please have them confirm with your medical aid if you qualify they need to send in writing before committing to an appointment. Second part from me after the chat with the rep that called I will never put a foot in a spec savers again and will continue warning all friends and family whenever I hear they going there
