Long wait for glasses
So incredibly frustrated with the wait for my glasses which will be nearly 1 month if I do indeed get them when Spec Savers now says I will get them... An enormous amount of money was spent paying for my glasses and it truly was not worth it. My husband refuses to use them for his glasses now with my latest experience and I certainly will not be a returning customer.

20 Nov 2019, 09:44Good day,
The branch in question is the Kensington, Durban north branch. The order is for Tracy Sessions (not Craig, as I am now married). I now understand that the delay is due to the strength of the lenses required and that they had to be imported, but why was this not known at the outset? I was initially told on two occassions that the waiting time would be 7-10 working days. The prescription was processed on 31/10. On 13/11 when I called to follow up, I was then told that I would have the glasses by 19/11. Yesterday 19/11 however I was contacted by the branch and advised of the problem and was told that now I would only have the glasses by Friday 22/11. I don't even know now if that is definite or if it will change (yet again) ? In the meantime the branch has been good about supplying trial one day contact lenses, but my purpose for wanting the glasses is that my eyes can no longer handle contact lenses well. This entire process has been frustrating for me and after completing this transaction I no longer wish to be considered a Spec Savers customer. My husband is also due to renew his glasses but based on this experience he has declined to use Spec Savers
