Lack of Interest and Service Delivery from Specsavers

I made an appointment for my 11 year old son in Mid-June. The date and time was proposed by the person that answered the phone. I accepted the 9 August knowing it was a public holiday. I called in to confirm my appointment on 8 August and was informed that the system was slow and someone would get back to me. This did not happen. I called back on 9 august and was told that since it was a public holiday the optometrist leaves at 1pm so it would not be possible for my sons appointment at 2. I am terribly disappointed that Specsavers firstly did not look at their book and inform me that the appointment was cancelled. Furthermore, I have been repeatedly promised that 'SOMEONE' would get back to me but that doesnt happen. I made specific arrangements and changed plans based on 'the only available appointment' and it did not happen. Is anyone interested at all?
