Lack of communication and poor service
I visited Specsavers at Mall@ redds on 30 Jan 2015 to have glasses made, I was told that my medical aid will only cover a portion of it so I paid the difference. I was then told that a motivational letter had to be submitted for approval and therefore this could delay my specs, therefore est time should be around 2 weeks. I understood this policy clearly. I received no feed back from Specsavers after 2 weeks so I called and nobody could provide me with any info. I then called after 3 days (16 Feb) and was told my motivational letter was declined by discovery and a new letter was submitted. I then call discovery a few days later to find out what exactly was the delay, Dicovery stated that a new motivational letter was submitted on 17 Feb and it was approved. its now 6 weeks after my visit at Spec savers, nobody has contacted me. I called Specsavers today for feedback and was told the lens has been broken at the lab and I must call back in a week for progress. This is now a 7 week process and im still not guaranteed anything.
