If you go to Spec-Savers Canal Walk make very sure they sign for everything you give them

I went to Spec-Savers Canal Walk, as I had done for the previous five years, to have my annual checkup up to purchase new "office lenses", I had the frame from a previous purchase and a new pair of readers. I accepted their special that I would get a " buy one get one free" promo. At the same time I handed them spectacles which needed a new arm and asked if they could get one. They stated they would try. This was on the 25th March. I understood it would take 7-10 business days. On the 4th April I telephoned and asked if the glasses were ready. They stated that there was a backlog and they should be ready by Wednesday the following week. On the 10th I telephoned again and was told they would be ready by the following Monday. On the 15th I telephoned and was told they would phone me back. I received the call on, I think it was the Wednesday, the 17th, telling me that there was a problem with the lenses and they had to send them back. I said this made no sense whatsoever, and was now ludicrous it was now over 3 weeks. Obviously something was wrong. However on, I think it was the 27th April I received a call that they were ready. I explained that I was flying overs seas and would be back by the 14th and would come and collect them. When I arrived they gave me, my spectacles that I had given them for the arm to be repaired and told me the "offices lenses" were in the frame. I them asked them why they had put the lenses in my old reader frames and where was my other frame that should have had those lenses. They stated I had only brough those frames which made no sense as the Office lenses should be in a specific frame, and I had given that to them. They could check on their system that I had bought those particular frames from them. They insisted that I had only given them that one frame. I have no doubt whatsoever that the frames were lost/broken somehow and basically it was "so sad too bad." we are not responsible. I asked to speak to, I think it was the manager, who was "simply too busy to talk to me, and when after 15 minutes I managed to get his attention, he simply ignored me and walked away. As I said if, and that's a big if, you decide to go to Spec-Savers Canal Walk make very sure that they sign for everything you give them. And make very sure the lenses are correct, as I have found out to my detriment.
