I would give zero stars if I could

I visited Spec-Savers ******g Bay (Plettenberg Bay) on 11 August 2025 after my multifocal glasses for laptop work broke. The optometrist did a thorough exam and recommended a slightly changed prescription, although my old lenses had been working perfectly.

The process since then has been long and frustrating. The first pair of glasses took weeks to arrive, then had to be remade due to an issue with the lenses. When I eventually received them, I couldn’t read or focus on my computer screen - I could only see clearly in one small spot, needing to move my head side to side.

The optometrist rechecked my eyes and prescribed a second pair, which also didn’t work. I was advised to try them for a few days to “adjust,” but they caused nausea and I still couldn’t see properly. They rechecked my eyes again and remade the lenses - another long wait - and the same problem persisted. Finally, I asked them to use the exact prescription from my old glasses, which had worked beautifully. That pair arrived on 4 October, but again, while I could read my phone, I couldn’t see my laptop clearly. The lenses distort my vision, and after nearly two months, I still don’t have usable glasses. At this point, my eyesight is suffering, and I’ve decided to go to another optician and start over. Sadly, this has been a total waste of both time and money.
