HQ False Advertising -Ignore Customer

The Specsaver website advertise a deal (still on the website today - a week later) that one can get a second pair glasses for R480. Made an appointment at Walmer Park Specsavers for last Sunday. Once there we were told that HQ stopped that special. As we live out of town it would have been a major inconvenience and costly to make another appointment at a different supplier and a different date. We had good service from the staff and they did give me a discount, but I still had to pay in a substantial amount. I used their website contact form to query this, but received no response. Five days later phoned their helpdesk. Lady stated that the deal is still on, until I told my story - then took my name and number and said she will call back.... No response - will know where not to go next time......
