Hatfield Spec-********!

The Hatfield branch in Pretoria really played me for a fool. Took a special that would come with an extra add-on if specific frames were purchased, and I opted for free anti-glare effect. As this was my second prescription, I trusted them my eyeware and everything was confirmed to be in order when I went to collect it. .. 2 years later I go back for a new prescription and found out that the anti-glare was never installed (paperwork checked and all). So, instead of apologising and offering the same service on my new prescription (as requested/expected), I was made to pay for no-scratch effect of the anti-glare PER LENS and no apology whatsoever. At that point I felt hurt and disappointed because I was made to believe I had anti-glare 2 years whole years, and that when the issue was looked onto by the optometrist himself - no empathy nor suitable solution was extended to me.

I'm due for my next prescription and will definitely not be going to ANY of your chain stores.

To anyone considering using Spec-Savers, even as a long time client, make sure you inspect your eyeware properly and even get a second opinion if possible before trusting them.

It took me so long because I was still processing it all and quite frankly embarrassed by how my issue was handled... Which is really nonsense considering that I was the aggrieved party.
