Frustrated and annoyed ...

I went to Spec-Savers Bothasig for daily headaches and hazy vision. Instead of a solution, I was sold a pair of glasses that make my near vision completely blurry. It is impossible to use them. I went back for an official recheck, same results. I was told I was near sighted which I don't doubt. However, I said multiple times that I need to be able to see through them up close as I'm on a computer 90% of the day - hence why I paid for the anti-glare and blue light filters. The physical product does not work for my eyes, I wore them for a week as instructed with no difference. When the store owner called me, she told me she "cannot help me further" and insisted that I need to pay to see an outside specialist because "I should be able to see through them." She completely imp**** that I am the problem, not their product. Under Sections 55 and 56 of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), I have a right to goods that are fit for purpose. Spec-Savers has failed to provide functional eyewear and has explicitly given up on fixing the issue. Yet, they are refusing a refund, claiming "services were rendered." I paid out of pocket for vision, not for an expensive piece of useless plastic.
