False advertising

Review: Specsavers Experience I recently visited Specsavers for my 6-year-old son’s glasses, and overall, the service we received in-store was excellent. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made the process comfortable for both me and my child. Up until the final stage, I was very satisfied with the experience. However, I was disappointed when I was informed that I would need to pay extra for my son’s lenses to be thinned out because they would otherwise be thick. This came as a surprise, as the adverti*****t indicated that children’s glasses would be provided for free. It felt misleading to only mention these additional costs at a later stage, especially when the expectation was that the glasses would be fully covered. From a customer’s perspective, this comes across as unclear or potentially false advertising. While I appreciate the good service provided by the staff, I believe there should be more transparency about what is actually included in the “free” offer, and any possible additional costs should be clearly explained upfront. I was told it would cost a total of R2000 verry disappointed

Good day Sweetness.
Thank you for sharing your feedback and for highlighting your experience with us. We’re glad to hear the in-store team provided good service for your son. With regards to the Kids Right to Good Sight offer, it includes a frame out of our kids range, clear single vision lenses, and an eye test as outlined in the terms and conditions. We’re sorry for any misunderstanding regarding additional lens enhancements, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

Warmest regardsThe Spec-Savers Team
