False advertising
Spec savers advertises on their website that they do a kids promo that gives kids a free eye test, frame and lense. Yesterday I was at Specsavers in midrand. My child had an eye test and we were ask to choose a frame. There was only four kids frames in the store. Upon choosing a frame, we were informed that we would have to pay R1390 for it as it had a green barcode. I asked to see the free frames as offered in the promo and was shown adult frames with grey stickers. Why is Specsavers advertising such a promo if one has to pay for frames or the store doesn't have any free kids frame. My child really needs the glasses and we went to Specsavers because of this promo. If we knew in advance that we had to pay, we would have used other service providers. Sadly, we will now be canceling the order of the frames.

Spec-Savers South Africa offers Kids Right to Good Sight for all kids age 6 - 12 years of age FREE EYE TEST, FRAME & CLEAR LENSES.
As per our Terms and Conditions, you can choose the Free frame up to an Orange sticker (R490) should you choose an expensive frame you will receive a discount of R490.
As per Spec-Savers Mx Midrand, your daughter chose a Green sticker, a branded SpongeBob frame (R1390) you will receive a discount of R490.
The store does stock a variety of frames in the grey, brown and orange stickers.
As per our Promotion the Eye Test and the Single Vision lenses are at no charge to you.
