Disappointing Experience at Brits Branch

I would like to share my experience with the Brits branch, which I’ve visited twice now.

My first visit was in 2022, and I was assisted by a white male optometrist who provided me with exceptional service. He took the time to explain everything clearly, including all his findings, and made sure I understood my eye health thoroughly. It was a pleasant and professional experience.

However, my recent visit was very disappointing. I was assisted by an African lady who did not explain anything to me. I had to ask her what was wrong, as she went ahead with the test without offering any feedback or information. She spent most of the time complaining about her machine not working properly. After it was resolved, she completed the test and simply told me to go choose a frame, with no explanation of the results or findings.

To make matters worse, even the receptionist was unprofessional. When I arrived, she was on her phone. After the call, she continued a conversation in Afrikaans with another lady who was already talking to the optometrist assisting me. She then turned to me with a forced smile that felt insincere and dismissive.

This experience was far below the standard I expected based on my first visit. I left feeling unvalued and poorly treated.

I hope you take this feedback seriously and address the service quality at this branch. Clear communication and respectful treatment of all clients should be a priority.
