DEALING IN BAD FAITH

On 19/01/2015 I visited the above mentioned branch to buy prescription specs. The eye test was done and my frame was chosen and then a quote was given to me with my portion payable. I noticed on the quotation that it does'nt state anywhere that I should pay any monies upfront,it was shared with me that my portion amounted to R1689.00+/- and that i should pay R849,00 before any work commences. At the time I did not have any money and made the payment on the 27th via EFT.Nobody of Spec-savers contacted me and I had to make numerous phone calls to enquire about my spectacles. Almost 2 weeks went by and I had to contact them again and after waiting on the line for almost 20min., I was told I can collect my specs. I fitted it on and a few adjustments were made only to be told I cannot take it before my full portion were paid. ON THE QUOTE THERE IS A PAYMENT ARRANGEMENT OF R105,95 PER MONTH OVER 24 MONTHS. I left the branch very ****ed off and I never heard from them since.

Hello cfacoline,

Thank you for bringing the matter to our attention.

I have addressed your complaint with the store.

As per Spec-Savers payment policy you are required to make 50% deposit that had to be paid before we could go ahead with your spectacles.
The outstanding amount should be paid on collection.

The payment arangement of R105,95 per month over 24 months that you saw on your quotation refers to our Spec-Savers credit should you with to apply for the credit.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the miscommunication.

Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
