Bad Service
Spec-Savers new booking system with regards to kids eye test is ridiculous. You cannot get a booking during school holidays when it's convenient as they limit the amount of kids they will see per week per store. They are offering a service that they really don't want to give. It was their choice to give free eye test to kids and now they decided to limit it by blocking off their booking system and not allowing stores to take in walk-ins. They can give you an appointment tomorrow if you join your kid for an eye test only because you will be paying for your eye test. They no longer call you before the year is over to schedule your child for an eye test for that year. This service is pathetic. You decided to give SA free eye care for kids and now that you can see people are using the service that you chose to provide you now want to limit it. Spec-Savers is happy with only helping around 300,000 kids per year as the manager was proud to tell me. It's shameful and utterly disgraceful. You chose to provide a service and now one should wait months before getting an appointment because you only help 15 kids per week per store if that's even the truth...

These spots are also limited per store as our optometrists can only accommodate a limited number of kids per day per store. You are welcome to try other stores, or you check again in a week or two to check for new possible times. If you require a sooner appointment that is not on the specific days when our Kids Right To Good Sight Initiative appointments are conducted, there will be a charge for the eye test, however, your child will still qualify for the spectacle aspect of the initiative.
