Bad service

I am registering my displeasure at the treatment I got from Spec-Savers Canal Walk today. First, I indicated from the outset that I was not going to procure glasses from them. I was only there for eye tests and would request my prescription. I made all the relevant tests. Indicating to the optometrist that I was not going to make my glasses with them. Part of the reason was a lack of funds. I can not afford to pay the exorbitant prices of lenses and frames. Second, it was the gaslighting I got from the consultant who told me that the system shows that I am no longer a member of my current medical aid. I had to show her one of the emails I received from my medical aid on a monthly basis with my medical aid number. I was then that she said the system does show now. She told me that the medical aid rate for eye test was R900.00, and I would be liable for any funds thta may not be paid by.my medical aid. When I asked for my prescription, she told me that that would be emailed to me by the optometrist. I then asked for a printed copy. She said the printers were not working. After a while, she went to the front desk and printed a copy without my PD. When I asked why the prescription did not have a PD, she said they were not allowed to provide or include a PD. She had a chat with one of the consultants who was at the front desk, who also attested to the fact that they are not allowed to include a PD or provide it to a client. I then left unsatisfied with the manner in which the whole matter was handled. Should I have been advised when I got there that I would not get a script with my PD, I would n't have done the test there. I feel I am not obligated to be prescribed to as to where I should make jy glasses. In addition, I am a pensioner, and I can not afford the cost of glasses whihcnin jy case I use multifocal lenses. It is within my right to get a prescription with all the information that is needed for the dispensing of glasses. I am going to escalate this matter to the relevant authorities .
