Bad customer service from Portia Mgadlela at Spec-saver Olivedale

05 March 2025 I had a 1430 appointment for my daughter, I arrived 10mins late, the 1500 client was already there, as I approach the Receptionist lady,she then says younare late, she wanted me to go back home, I didn't mind waiting for the 1500pm client to be helped but the lady by the name Portia started being rude towards me, I brushed it off I didn't wanna cause a scene informant of another client as I respected.

Fast forward my husband walks in and as am having a conversation with telling him how the Receptionist lady was rude to me. She (Portia) rudes interrupts our conversation and say " talk to me directly, don't discuss me with your husband, I am canceling your appointment because you are talking about me, you are not my mother" Shocked as I am, I tell her that I am talking to my husband not you. I then say to her that the way she spoke to me is not how you address clients, you were a bit rude,next time try to be professional when talking to clients, she then continues to threaten canceling my appointment, the optometrist Anja the come to check what the issue was,I explained to her that Portia was not professional when speaking to me ,now she's threatening canceling my appointment whereas I have been here for 15mins, she apologized and really helped. Anja was the best, she.managed to calm ne down and give the best service ever.

Spec saver Olivedale must deal with their Receptionist Portia, she needs to be taught the importance of customer service, she acted as if the shop was hers, no apology nothing whatsoever.
