Bad Communication and Service

In July 2022 I went to Spec-Savers in Melkbosstrand, Cape Town fo an eye test/new specs. When the glasses were ready in August I was informed that there was an amount due by me of R2k odd. I cannot afford a once off payment of R2k+. On various occassions I contacted them to ask them to please keep my specs. Not on one of these occasions was I advised that I could pay the amount off in instalments. In January 2023 they called me again to say that my specs were still there. I AGAIN told them that I do not have money to pay a once off amount. On this occasion I was informed that if I go into the store, I can make an arrangement to pay off the amount! I subsequently arranged transport and went to them on the 9th to make an arrangement and collect my glasses - only to be told that I can only get my glasses once the amount has been paid in full!. It has been 6 months and I still don't have my specs! My questions are: 1) why was I not informed earlier that the amount can be paid off 2) why was I not informed that I cannot get my glasses BEFORE the amount has been paid off.
