Do not take your vehicle to Spares Wise Mookgopong you will be sorry.

Last year November I sent my vehicle in for a service at a reliable mechanic in Naboomspruit Limpopo. Stabilizer bushes and Tie-rod ends were replaced with the service so the vehicle was then sent to Spares Wise Naboomspruit to do the Wheel alignment. After more than 4 hours at Spares Wise then called and said the vehicle could be received. The mechanic immediately noticed that the traction control light was on. Spare Wise then explained that they could not adjust the bakkie and had to send it to another service provider to do the wheel alignment. The vehicle was left with them to resolve the problem. The mechanic immediately called Toyota and they explained to him that there was a high chance that the steering column was damaged. Spares Wise got an auto electrician out who then gave me a report that my steering angle sensor was just out and it was not the steering column\spiral cable. So they sent me away. Two days later we were about to drive about ****m to the coast. Before we started the journey I decide to stop at Toyota in Johannesburg because my vehicle kept activating traction control every now and then which makes the car suddenly jerk to the right. Toyota confirmed that my steering column is damaged and that unfortunately they don’t have one in stock. A few hours before we hit the road I found an auto electrician who could help me with a part from Goldwagen. To avoid an accident, I buy the part and have it installed. The part did not calibrate with the car from the start, but my steering wheel functions and traction control worked perfectly. So we got back to our coastal vacation and I took the bakkie to Toyota in Naboomspruit. They then confirm that I need to install an original part. So I did and the problem is solved. I took my evidence to Spares Wise that it was not just my angle sensor. The current manager then assured me that they will work on it. This was mid-January. Until today, April 2, nothing has been done, and I ended up spending just under R20 000 to get my vehicle fixed. I told the manager at Spares Wise that they must only pay for the parts that I paid for to be installed, and I will cover the fuel and some of the labor myself. I also found out that the man who worked on my vehicle, working for Spares Wise was fired shortly afterwards.

Further details and reports can be provided upon request.
