Worst - Customer Service - Mega Spar Pinetown Rank

I would like to report an ongoing issue at MegaSpar and the liquor store located at Pinetown Taxi Rank. For a long time, these stores have refused to provide cashback unless a customer makes a purchase. In addition, they now enforce a minimum spend of around R50 before allowing cashback. This practice has been consistent over the years and appears to target customers in a lower-income area, which is concerning.

I experienced this again yesterday at the liquor store. The cashier refused to assist me with cashback unless I bought something. I had to request to speak to a manager before any assistance was given. Even then, I was forced to buy an item I did not need, just to access cashback. This is frustrating, especially because nearby stores such as Shoprite provide cashback without requiring any purchase. I believe this practice is unfair and needs to be addressed. I expect clear feedback on this matter and a resolution. If this issue is not handled properly, I am prepared to escalate it further.
