What is the difference between SuperSpar Vangate vs SuperSpar Phillipi Plaza

<p>Ey this baffels me really. I bought an Ace Porridge on the 28.11.2016 at the Vangate SuperSpar and discovered when I got home that the flavour i got is not the one enjoyed by my daughter. So i decided I will return it and choose the SuperSpar in Phillipi Plaza. I went to the store today and was told by the front line supervisor who was there that they dont accept exchanges between Phillipi Plaza and Vangate? so I was like aahhh shocked and couldnt respond. I explained to the lady i got the wrong flavour and would like to return it as I have the correct flavour now and bought it at another retailer. I told her I would use the money to purchase something else at their store. I was not assisted and was quite shocked by this. It is a pitty I dont recall the name of the supervisor however granted the opportunity to walk into the store again I would definetly recall her (she was wearing a white shirt and red Spar scarf). Now as a consumer we dont know what the heck is the difference between the two as I have worked in retail for years and the same store name/company should be able to accept exhcanges bought at the actual store or in a different location. In this case it is a SuperSpar to a SuperSpar so like I really dont get it. I know this is a basic retails practice to be able to exchange items bought at the same company e.g. Pick 'n Pay to Pick 'n Pay, Shoprite to Shoprite etc </p> <p> </p> <p>to add to the matter then I decided fine I need to go to Vangate. I then bought Future Life cereal and LongLife milk Low fat at the Phillipi Plaza Spar. When i got to work to use the actual milk, to discover the actual milk was open and it had gone off.....really now. This comes from the actual shelf and the expiry date is 03/2017. So now the drive from Khayelitsha back to Phillipi what a waste of time for an item that costs like +-13 rand. Mind you the actual petrol that I have to waste due maybe someone not checking stock proper prior to putting it on the shelf. Now how am I suppose to trut 'sealed items' from Spar?</p> <p> </p> <p>Firstly i didnt get helped for the porridge exchange by the same retailer SuperSpar to a SuperSpar without a reasonable explanation and then boom i still pay and get opened expired milk.....really appauling SPar Phillipi and Spar in general. I would like to believe the line of Spar Good For you always however in this case it has not been Good at all for me.</p> <p> </p> <p>At SPAR we continuously strive to achieve the highest standards of quality in all areas, from our warm and dedicated service to all our products. With the objective of consistently meeting the individual needs of every customer in a caring and homely environment. (You definetly failed on this matter twice for me period)</p> <p> </p> <p>Can someone please get back to me with a proper explanation of this crazy exchange policy and I will surely be in that store again today to exchange the actual Milk. I will log a formal complain for both these issues raised here.</p>
