Very disappointing

Superspar Eersterivier has disappointed me in a huge way. As a non profit organization I was informed by a supervisor on duty that a donation box will be at the exit doors by the security for people who make purchases at the store, to place their purchasing slips in the donation box. A percentage of the amounts accumulated will be paid to the NPO in December, as I was told. This was said to me in person. I even accompanied the supervisor where she put our NPO name on the donation box. So I took a picture and advertised to our followers on our Facebook page to please shop at superspar Eersterivier so we can get as many slips in order to get a nice percentage of sales in December. Our plan was to give a Christmas dinner to our community who is struggling and toys to the kids as everyone has been effected by Covid. One week before Christmas I went to the store and lady advise me the slips is all sent to head office. We must just be patient. January 2022 came and we heard nothing. Yesterday I went back to the store to enquire and I spoke to the store manage on duty. He told me that the top 5 was picked and they received a voucher. I was surprised as this was never mentioned to us. Not even a phone call was received. I must say I was angry to think all the efforts we did to tell our friends and family to purchase at superspar Eersterivier was in vain. I did not expect this at all. The reason why I'm writing this review is that our followers might think that we did receive a voucher and that we used it for personal gain which is not at all the case. We received 0. Not even a courtesy call was made to us. I must commend Britos in Eersterivier who donated to us and we managed to provide meals to many. Our NPO efforts is even listed on their website as a thank you. I will unfortunately have to inform our followers who had supported us by buying groceries at superspar Eersterivier with the hope that their purchase slip will help those in need. Very disappointing.
