Very bad customer service

I would like to give an review on Eerste RIVER SUPERSPAR in the Western Cape.

I received an sms stating that the following products is on sale/promotion. Eerste River SUPERSPAR: SUNSHINE SUGAR 2KG R34.99 SPAR MILK 6PK R74.99 ULTRAMEL CUSTARD 1L 2 FOR R23.79 COEK 2.25L R20.79 DARLING JUICE 3L R29.99 TASTIC RICE 2KG 26.99 PORK RIBS R89.99 P/KG LA LITALIANA OATS 1KG R24.99 SAVEMOR OIL 2L R54.79 END DATE:11.12.22

On the 8th December 2022 at approximately 11H29 I was at the retailer to purchase Ultramel Custard and a few other things.

I informed the cashier Sammy-Lee that the Ultramel Custard is on sale. Hence the reason why I'm buying it. I proceeded to saw the cashier the sms that I received. The cashier informed me that she will quickly try and find out how she can assist me. As she wasn't aware of this promotion.

The cashier went to one of the other employees which I assumed were a senior in the store. The senior didn't even come to me to try an resolve the problem. She sent a message with Sammy-Lee stating that it is not her problem and that Head Office should sort this out. Seeing that they sent me the sms to me.

As a senior in a place of work that was very bad customer service. Something which I am not use to receiving from SPAR. AS I have been a loyal customer to SPAR for years.

I don't and can't see how this is HEAD Office problem. Because all retailers or shops are aware of the current and upcoming sales and promotions. That would be run in the stores.
