Unfair Dismissal

Good Evening,

I got a Job at Bromhof SPAR like about 2 weeks Ago on Sunday the 4th of October 2020 (after a quick interview i received on thursday the 1st of October 2020 ). I started working there exactly 0855am - 1600pm as a Merchandiser ( Organizing The Shelf) ... Monday night came and started working night shift just like that no probation contract to sign or some sort of thing like that.. I worked through out the whole week with no issues regarding my work-ethic there, Then came the second week still with no complaints/issues regarding my contribution... Then this Monday the 11th i went in for a Night-Shift... Stock was now getting received and while receiving Stock and dragging the Trolleys from the Trucks i accidently sprung my ankle on my left leg, so ever since then i tried to push on and keep working but it was just paining me to carry on dragging the stock... i Approached the Supervisor (Prince) and told him that i fractured my ankle , he then told me to take OFF my shoes and walk barefoot "cabanga" - so i carried on working Just waiting for the Morning so i can talk to the Manager that hired me.

Morning came i approached my Manager (Ntombi-zodwa) i exclaimed to her the incident, then she told me that she'll talk to the General Manager (Naledi) the Interviewee. Okay fine, then before i had to knock off to go and rest for the following day, she then told me she'd like to see me @1500 - 1600pm same day... I'm thinking there's something wrong i did OR maybe they found some medical care for me.

I then came back to the store at 1500pm and informed them that i am here, my Manager then told me to wait by the coffee shop she'll attend to me she's still busy with some stuff... I waited by the coffee Shop for about 4hrs and then she came we then went up to the ****pit (Office) met up with the General Manager (Naledi) they sat me down and told me that i have been working for them since Sunday the 4th and she said that i can no longer be part of their team at SPAR and i must sign some piece of rough printed sheet to say that they have given me compensation of R1 635.10 for working 68hrs, so in other words i got FIRED for getting injured at work.

Is that how we as Employees be treated in our workplaces... And such kind of management at such a beautiful SPAR is truly disgraceful - I wasn't even told how much i will be hired for (Salary). Such kind of Management will truly diminish clientele... Something or Action needs to be taken against this Kind of Management. The previous Bromhof SPAR wasn't as modern as this one but management was BEST.
