To robe or to disrobe

****py to say the least. Bordering on even ******. I went to Benoni Super Spar. I went to the shop this morning wearing my robe, first time for me, but not something so uncommon now that everyone is working from home. I had at this point already been to 3 butcheries and 1 spice shop all in search of ingredients for mielies & boontjies. So only had one ingredient to buy. I figured it's a Super Spar they should have it. I went in washed my hands with the sanitizer & then wanted to enter the store. The one security was fine with it the other was not. Then they spoke in vernacular which us very rude firstly. Don't talk about someone in their presence in a language they don't understand. That is tant amount to gossiping about them. From what I concluded the female security guard either confirmed with or was told this very morning that they were to not allow people with robes into the store. So if it was only decided this morning surely you should then advertise this change or tell people when they do arrive in a robe that next time they would not be allowed in. I mean it's literally a new rule that you yourselves have adopted. I asked to see the store manager but then was ridiculed by some other Spar employee and asked why I wanted to see the store manager & told the store Manger was not there. He told me this 3 times & told me I should just leave. I then naturally refused and then he said I should come to the back with him to which I rep****, "why would I come to the back with you, where there's no cameras" obviously doubting his intentions. So I asked "Why can the store manager not come here to me at the entrance which you refuse to let me leave from. Why is he too important?" to which he rep**** yes. Then I said if he's not coming then I'm going in at which point the security guard made physical contact with me, telling me to leave the store. Touching me, in the middle of Covid 19. I mean really??? Then the store manager came. The same one I was told was not at work. He said to me I'm not allowed in & should just leave & that he did not have any time to discuss the matter with me because he was managing both Spar & Tops and just left as suddenly as he arrived. When I asked for his name he only gave me a first name if Sydney. I told him that they would leave me no choice to report them to the Head Office to which he & the security smugly rep**** "do it then". I called the Complaints line and spoke to Glenda who also had a very bad attitude. When I asked her about her surname she said she doesn't have to give it me. I proceeded to tell my complaint to which she basically laughed and scoffed it off as if it were nothing. So I have two questions firstly if this rule was only introduced today then surely you should allow a grace period for enforcement? Secondly is it a real thing for a manager who is listening to your complaint to just dismiss it and walk away and say he's busy? Thirdly is this a race issue because I have seen atleast two White people, one male and one female and two Indian ladies dressed in robes. Sleeping robes with pyjamas on underneath be ALLOWED in. Same as what I wore. And now today I a Colored male must experience such atrocities?
