The customer is never right at Spar

<p>After completing my shopping I tried to pay for my groceries (R500.82) at the till point. My card was swiped and inserted quite a few times by an untrained lady – I say untrained because I ended up doing it for her once as well since she didn’t know how the speed point worked. They also called in the help of an elderly lady who shoved my card into the machine with so much force, I thought it was going to snap in half.<br /> <br />Please note that this was a very busy time of the evening and by now the shoppers behind me starting to move out of the line.<br /> <br />At last a senior management member came and told me Capitec was offline and said I must go outside and draw cash. At that point I left your store and never returned. I went to buy dinner at another store and had absolutely no hassle with my card or bank whatsoever.<br /> <br />This morning when I checked my phone I saw 5 deductions of R500.82 has been made off my account (you cleared my account by the way) and I immediately contacted the store. Dalleen was sweet and helpful and conveyed my grievance to Debbie.</p> <p>And this is my complaint. All I’m hearing is what Spar can not do, but no one up until now has given me a solution, and only told me to wait at least 3 – 4 working days.<br /> <br />THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE<br /> <br />It is month end and I have debit orders that are suppose to go off from my bank account – which is now empty due to faulty spar machines. As I explained to Debbie, the money has to be returned back to me today. It’s amazing how a company like Spar will make such a mistake, greet their customer with so little help and then still try to blame the customer.</p>
