Terrible response to the return of disgusting food

On Friday lunchtime I was in the Fourways area. I decided to pop into the Spar along Uranium Road to grab myself a sandwich. Once arriving back at my offices in Sandton I discovered that the ingredients on the sandwich was off - it smelt absolutely disgusting. The date on the label indicated that it was packed the same day. Not only was I now unable to eat lunch but I was not able to leave the office to buy other food. That afternoon, I battled through traffic to bring this to the attention of the manager. I spoke to Thokozani and handed over the off sandwich and my till slip. Thokozani offered to replaced the sandwich. I felt that this was unacceptable as I was going to be having dinner soon and felt like I needed to compensated a bit for the inconvenience of having to return to the store, not having lunch and the fact that the store is knowingly selling expired food. He said he would speak to the directors of the store and contact me the next day. I haven't received any communication from the store and still have not been compensated. There are many nice stores around the Fourways area so I definitely will be advising everyone I know to stay clear of this one.
