SUPERSPAR SAXBY - UNPROFESIONAL & DISGRACEFUL

What a disgraceful experience my granddaughter (14y) and I just had at the SUPERSPAR, Saxby Ave, Eldoraigne, Centurion! Floor Manager "Frans" does not know the word professional and client service in the business world at all. I bought a NESTLE DAIRY BOX of good quality chocolates for my spouse who becomes 60. At the cashier the price was not what was displayed on the top shelve (R76.99) but suddenly R139.99. The control staff confirmed it and said it was wrongly packed as the price displayed are for a smaller (180g) box. I indicated but there are no other such chocolates in bigger or smaller boxes visible or priced and I requested assistance from the store manager. "Frans" came to assist and after my explanation he noticed the same fact that it was the only place for this specific make of chocolate with only one price displayed. Being a bit taller than all of us, he started to search at the back of the top shelve where he eventually found a box at the far back laying facedown. I indicated to him that it is impossible for a client to see it and to compare it with the displayed price as only one box was visible and correctly displayed with a price tag. "Frans" just reacted that it was wrongly packed and that the clients must accept it like that. I told "Frans" that goods displayed with a price on the shelve; right/wrong priced, is supposed to be sold by that price or it can be reported to the Consumer Board for arbitration. I also said to him I do not want to quarrel about it and whether I can have the box displayed for the price displayed on which he reacted negatively. I requested his name and he showed me his tag on his shirt thereafter he asked me mine and I provided it and informed him that I will take the matter Public if this is how SUPERSPAR concessions handle loyal customers and especially discriminate against older and shorter clients. Must clients go to a SPAR with a magnifying glass in order to read the fine writing under the price displayed and compare it with the product packed in line with that price tag; and/or even take a ladder to search for the correct item at the back of top shelves, etc. Really SPAR, you are not client/customer friendly!! I never had such a bad experience with Pick 'n Pay, Checkers, etc and even my granddaughter made a remark that she cannot believe the way some people act and think in manager positions. "Frans" should get some training in business management and client service delivery.
