SPAR's Rewards Programme

SPAR’s Rewards programme SPAR now has a new card that one needs if you want to obtain any “rewards” points. In the current financial situation, every penny counts. With the old system, you could have your “points” earned on your card. With the “new” system though, you can only get this benefit if you have their app. I feel that this is *********. I do not require another app that sends me all sorts of ads and notifications for things I do not need and uses my data for advertising purposes. I think this new card forces the consumer to get the app if they would like to earn any “rewards”. Is this not *****ulent advertising? I am not sure as I am not a legal person. So, to SPAR: I will not come to any of your stores and would rather go to Checkers or Pic&Pay which does not force me to do anything against my will.
