SPAR Zyliss 2018 Knife Promotion Disappointment

SPAR Zyliss 2018 Knife Promotion. In short: A very disappointing experience. I've been collecting the promotion stickers faithfully from competition inception and have gone out of my way to shop at SPAR instead of my preferred local supermarket. A couple of weeks before the promotion closure date I attempt to redeem my 4 completed sticker sheets at my local Spar @ Newlands. They inform me that they do not have any stock of the knives left so I need to try a different store. I attempt the same at Spar Menlo Park, but again was advised that they are out of stock. On Sunday the 11th of November I'm driving around looking for a SPAR that still has stock and end up at Monument Park Spar. They informed me that they are expecting stock that Tuesday (13 November) and that I need to leave my contact details with the knives I would like. It' s the 21st of November today. Not a single phone call, sms or smoke signal. What a terrible promotion. 4 complete sticker sheets = 20 stickers per sheet = R100 spent per sticker = R8000. The staff at all these stores just seem to not care. It was a valuable lesson. Stick to a supermarket chain you can trust to give you a great all-round shopping experience, excellent loyalty program, friendly staff, great promotions and great prices. Spar is not that supermarket chain.
