SPAR-ZA
My experience started in 2019. When I was forcefully served at spar by a minor (child must have been about 13years old), the minor and incident that I mention served me at tops liquor store. I then reported my matter to spar head office and customer care. I got ZERO feedback from the person handling my complaint. In this incident it was deemed acceptable practice by the staff members (because they were monitoring the sales transactions being done by the 2 young boys) as well as the security that are at the entrance/exit of the bottle store.
Yesterday I visited the same spar store, with my kids. Both my kids had masks on and both were only going to their mother who at the time of their entry was already in the line to make payment for the goods that she was buying. The security tried to refuse the kids access to the store and then the manager (who at the time of this incident was NOT wearing a mask) decided that my kids should not be in the store and removed my kids from the store.
I write this review because I am very confused: 1) as mentioned above is it acceptable practice for spar to allow kids under the age of 15 to sell alcohol from the liquor store and not ok for kids that r complying to government Gazetted regulations. 2) is Wentworth spar still a family spar or is the family part reserved for certain customers. 3) is it spar policy for customers to leave their kids in the car park.
For both incidents there is CCTV footage, as the both of these stores have cameras, I write that because previously CCTV footage wasnt reviewed and the latest incident as well as what I wrote about the manager NOT wearing a mask at the time of the incident can be viewed.
