Spar Women's Walk 2018 Bellville

This is regarding your Spar Women's walk in Bellville on 25 March 2018. This event was poorly planned regarding the route you chose. You blocked off thousands of people living in Tyger Waterfront and Tyger Falls. These residents only have one way respectively to enter and exit the area and because of your walk they were unable to do so. I understand the need for closure of roads for such events, but you cannot block off the only entrance and exits of thousands of people. And just because it is a Sunday morning, doesn't meant that some people aren't working or have to attend certain events.

I was stopped by a traffic officer who told me that I couldn't enter my place of living and that I had to wait for the event to finish. I had to go work that morning and was therefore unable to enter my place and prepare for work. Because of this I am behind on a work project. The traffic officer also informed me that the event was widely advertised and that I should've therefore known about it. I was not aware of this event at all and I follow news regularly. After this I Googled the event to find any mention of road closures. And I found nothing. If Google isn't able to turn up a result, how can you expect the average person to be aware? Also perhaps you should've notified each resident of Tyger Waterfront and Tyger Falls by printing pamphlets to place in every mailbox.

This was completely unacceptable behaviour, poor planning and highly inconsiderate. I certainly hope that you can improve next time.
