SPAR - Unacceptable customer service

Hi,

Why is it that trying to contact SPAR Customer service is worse than trying to contact Home Affairs? I tried calling their call centre - no one answers the phone.

I try to complete their Customer Care Online form and you expected to agree to this statement:

Do you understand and therefore consent to us processing your information? *

as well as this one: Do you further consent to us retaining your information for the purposes of direct marketing and related activity?

If I don’t agree I CANNOT submit the form!

Surely, the 2 above consents are contrary to POPIA?
