Spar Silverton 486 Pretoria street Security guard searching customers bags upon entry to the store

Security guard at Spar Silverton searched my handbag upon entry to the store, my handbag only had my house keys in it. I don't know if this is something that Spar Silverton now does searching customers handbags upon their arrival to the store? If so is there a sign that notifies customers of such at the door? If this was done only to me then there's something very wrong with that and I would like to know why? I stay in the area and this is the closest spar to me, I always buy at this Spar and it has never happened before. So it must be something new. Furthermore when I was leaving the store after my purchase the same security guard insisted on searching my bag again and found the same keys and he made a remark saying "ooh it's still empty" I'd like to know what does that imply?
