Spar Parklands knowingly selling rotten chicken!!!

I am disgusted at Spar Parklands! Today I bought vacuum sealed chicken drumsticks and when I got home and opened it, it was so rotten that I had to go all the way back to exchange it.

Speaking to the manager on duty I received no apology just that I can exchange it, I asked for it to be opened so that I did not have to go back again.

She sent a cashier assistant with me, we cut open 3 other packets all within expiration date and they all smelt off, 2 as off as my first and one was well on its way.

The butcher guy told me that it's normal and I have to just let it stand open for a while for the smell to disappear which it apparantly says on the lable.... I WAS SHOCKED!!!!

I then went back to the manager and the foods supervisor was also there and when I told them this, the food manager said the same thing I have to leave it open for the rotten smell to get better! So they expect me to open rotten chicken, let my kitchen smell the same way then feed this to my children.

This is clearly a known issue because I was quickly pointed to a label so they with there supplier knows the chicken is off and this is normal, and then we wonder why so many people are so sick!!!

DISGUSTED, will also be reporting this to food inspectors because this is knowingly poisoning people and children!!!!!!
