SPAR FALSE ADVERTISING

I would like to share with everyone that I am very unhappy with SPAR... So last night my husband was going through all the grocery stores comparing prices as we all need to spend wisely with the way food prices have escalated. He notices that on the Spar pamphlet they are advertising 10kg white sugar for R109.99 and says he thinks Spar made an error and that we would go to Spar 2nd avenue in Alberton after work today and see if that is really the price. We get there and there is no 10kg sugar on the shelf and just a note saying Sorry we are out of stock. I get to the till and I ask the lady if there is possibly stock in the store room as this is an Amazing deal and show her the advert.She calls a supervisor and she tells me and another lady who also enquires as to why there is no sugar on the shelf and she proceeds to tell us that Spar made an error and there is no stock. The other lady and I then ask her if we can see a manager as this is false advertising and we want the sugar at that price. The lady at the till said that alot of people queried this price for the sugar today and was just told an error was made. The manager at 2nd ave Spar in Alberton says sorry we mafe an error and will be issuing an Apology. This is totally unacceptable Spar. I go to Spar every month as they have great specials and the staff are always so friendly. Spar today my experience was not great and I am considering going else where. Yes people make mistakes, we are all human but surely the adverts must be checked and signed off before it goes to print and gets distributed to the public. Spar I dont accept your so called apology you are going to issue. I just wanted to share my unhappiness and disappointment in Spar. If anyone else has seen this advert dont bother going to Spar as there will be no stock on the shelves.
