Spar Con

I am a frequent visitor to Spar Fairlands Smit Street. This morning April 28 I received a message of my phone advising me of a butter special (R49.99 500gm) The special said 27th April (Yesterday). I thought it strange as I was in the store on the 27th for milk(next to the butter). I did not see any special on butter. So today (day of the message) visited the store for my butter special. Now there was a sign at the butter. It read " Dear valued customer. Unfortunately there was a technical error regarding the promotional special that went out this morning, bla bla. I approached one of the management and they said sorry, they will not honor the SMS as it was not their fault. As a pensioner I felt had. Was this just a ploy to get us into the store? I find this totally unacceptable. Shame on you SPAR.
